We have definitely been blessed this trip with opportunities to experience free treats: edible treats, glorious boondocking, and now a National Monument.
September 24th, 2016 happened to be a free entrance day! We loved the beautiful, white gypsum sand. The sand is cool to the touch even on hot days! They encourage walking barefoot and sledding…we attempted using a laundry basket but that didn’t work too well ha ha.
The kids definitely loved the experience and we enjoyed the photo ops. Even if we had needed to pay the entrance fee, it would have been worth it.
